When we eat

I grew up in a family where food was a subject of great importance. Some may say too much importance, but they would be wrong. 

 

When We Eat is a series of illustrations that I created based on the often unspoken thoughts I have around certain food-related situations. The series features recurring characters; the sensitive home cook who takes their food seriously (hence the chef hat), the child who keeps tabs on whose portion of dessert is the biggest, and the home cook who battles with knowing whether to trust their gut or the recipe.
